Question 1: When I go to the some of the pages, such as the staff list or news, I receive a blank page. Is there something I need to do?

Response: This problem usually occurs because of a personal firewall or other software installed on the computer being used.
If you have a program such as Norton Internet Security installed on the machine that you are using, you should add the following domain to the Anti-Spam ad blocking area of the software: dasd.org and the specific "sub-domain" dasd4.dasd.org.

Depending on the settings and version of Norton Internet Security, here are some additional steps:

-- In Norton Internet Security
Click on Norton AntiSpam
Click on Status & Settings
Click on Ad Blocking
Click on Configure
Click on Advanced
ON the right-hand side, scroll down until you  Block /ad
Highlight /ad
Click on Remove
Click on Ok
Click on Ok

Also, in Internet Explorer
-- at your normal home page, go to Tools, Internet Options.
-- On the General tab, in the Temporary Internet files box, click on Delete Files, click on Okay.
Once that is complete,
-- click on Settings, select every visit to the page, click on Okay.

This will clear any cached files in Internet Explorer.

At this point, reboot your machine.
Once the machine comes back up, retry accessing the files.

Question 2: The website looks great, but I noticed that when I use File-Print to print a page, it doesn’t always print the entire contents of the document. It sometimes gets chopped off on the right hand side.

Response: You have two options.
Option 1:Before you print, adjust the “Page Setup” margins to .25 inch for top, bottom, left, and right.
Option 2: Use the “printer icon” in the upper left corner of any of the DASD or School pages. When you print using this method, you will only print the internal page contents, which will always fit on a standard 8 ½ x 11 page.

Question 3: There are other websites that include a “Site Map” which I find very helpful. Can you do that?

Response: As part of our Phase II rollout, we plan to offer a “Site Map” feature. Stay tuned.

In the meantime, here are some quick tips on navigating through our pages:

  • The top “banner” portion is building-centric: the links on the banner refer to that school’s information. For example, if you go to any of Lionville Elementary pages, clicking on the Activities link will take you to Lionville’s activities.
  • The bottom “footer” portion is always district-centric: the links on the footer refer to information from the District perspective. For example, if you go to any page, clicking on the Calendar link, in the footer area, will take you to the “District Calendar”.
  • In addition to the “banner” and “footer” sections, each page has a Table of Contents area, located to the left and sometimes referred to as the “sidebar”. For teacher classroom pages, the sidebar should always have the first three entries: Welcome, Classroom / Courses, Resources. Other links are optional and pertain to that teacher’s website.
