East Ward's 4th grade Level 1 math students placed 1st in the
state and 1st in the Southeast region during the recent Continental Math
League Euclidean Competition. The class also finished 7th in the
country out of 486 schools.
Fourth grade student Austin Omlor
(photo left) was one of 36 students who received a perfect score throughout
the competition, thus tying for 1st place in the country. The Continental
Math League Competition is a set of 5 problem solving meets with 6 questions
posed during each meet.
