Rising Stars

Today, we began our “Rising Stars” program in cooperation with the East High School. This program involves the high school students coming to LE on Thursday mornings to be interviewed by our students on our local broadcasting station, LBS.

After the broadcast, the high school students leave motivational messages for our students on a “Rising Stars” framed poster that is displayed in the school hallway.

The students then visit several classes to reinforce the message of how to be successful in school and sports. Today, Andrew Dukes, Ryan Bradbury, and Neil Soneson (members of the undefeated soccer team) were our high school visitors.  A big THANK YOU is reserved for Jack Helm, Paul Hurley, and Renee Harty at East, and Gale Soneson (LE Teacher) and Ann Pleines (parent) for making this program so successful. It has been another great week for learning at LE.
