Registration 2010-2011
Kindergarten
- Registration will be held during the week of March 8-12 at the elementary building
of residence. Children are eligible
for admission to kindergarten if they have attained the age of five (5) years on or before September 1, 2010.
First
Graders New to DASD 2010-2011
- Registration will begin Monday, March 15, 2010. Children are eligible for admission to first grade if they
have attained the age of six (6) years on or before September 1,
2010. Follow Central Registration guidelines

Grades
2 through 12 - Registration will begin Monday,
May 17, 2010.

Central
Registration
The Downingtown Area School District has a registration
system for those who are new to the district or re-enrolling in the
district. Parents register all their
children in grades K – 12 at one time and in one location.

p.m.

To register your child(ren) for any DASD school, simply complete the
following two steps.
1.
Call 610-269-8460, Ext. 6100 for a registration appointment. An appointment is required
– no walk-in registrations are accepted.
2.
Bring the following
documents with you on your appointment day to the specified location:

Immunization Records
4 properly spaced doses of
Diphtheria/Tetanus vaccines (4th on or after 4th birthday).
3 properly spaced doses of Polio vaccines.
3 properly spaced doses of Hepatitis B vaccine.
2 properly spaced doses of Measles and Mumps
vaccines and 1 dose of Rubella (usually given as MMR).
2 doses of Varicella
(chickenpox) vaccine administered at 12 months of age or older or proof of
chickenpox immunity provided by laboratory testing or a written statement of
a history of chickenpox disease from a parent, guardian or physician (phased
in by 2010/2011).
Children ENTERING 7th grade in
2009/2010 need the following:
1 dose of tetanus,
diphtheria, acellular pertussis
(Tdap)
(if 5 years
has elapsed since last tetanus immunization)
1 dose of meningococcal
conjugate vaccine (MCV)

Physical
(can be up to 1 year old) – Should be complete prior to first day in
Downingtown Area School District.
